HCS OPTIONAL CONFIGURATIONS
Overview
The HCS Series EVSE can be built with additional functionality
including abilities for access control, shared circuit power, and
load management.
These features can often be used together, but must be built
to order. Reference the chart below to verify which combination

requirements.
For access control, ChargeGuard
®
uses a physical lock and
key system while ChargeGuard
®
EX
uses two extra control wires to facilitate remote access control.
ChargeGuard
®
EX access control can be enabled with items such
as an RFID key card, an external button, or a remote connection.
COSMOS
®
is a genetic load management interface designed to
simply integrate HCS EVSE with building energy management or
other third party monitoring and control systems. Share2
®
utilizes
the COSMOS
®
interface to enable two HCS EVSE units to be
wired on the same circuit and split power when both are in use.
