Dual modem operation
C.2.4 Installation
This section describes how to install the SAILOR XTR dual modem GX antenna system.
Antenna system installation
Install the SAILOR XTR GX-R2 antenna system as described in Chapter 2, Installation.
SAILOR GX modem installation
Install the GX modem in the rack and connect the RF switch, RF splitter and cables as
shown in Figure C-1 on page C-4.
Comtech SLM-5650 modem installation
Install the Comtech SLM-5650 modem in the rack and connect the RF switch, RF
splitter and cables as shown in Figure C-1 on page C-4.
C.2.5 Configuration
This section describes how to configure the SAILOR XTR satellite profiles to support
dual modem operation. All other standard configuration is described in Chapter 3,
Setup of the antenna.
The configuration of the VSAT modems must be done by the service providers.
SAILOR XTR GX profile
The GX profile is configured the same way as a stand-alone GX antenna system. See
VSAT profiles on page 3-7.
