9 Troubleshooting
The IP5000 speakerphone is a network device. The following are tips for troubleshooting:
Power–Ensurethepowertoyourdeviceisworkingandratedfor802.11afPoEspecicationsor
12-24VAC/DCratedfor>420mA.
Ping Test–Thisdeterminesconnectivityandthepacketlossandlatencytimetoandfromyour
destination,andthequalityofthenetworkconnectiontoyourIP5000.Ifyoureceivenoresponse
andpowerisconrmed,contactyournetworkadministrator.
DHCP –TheIP5000issetupforDHCPbydefault.IfyoucannotdeterminetheIPaddressofyour
IP5000,contactyournetworkadministrator.
Account–EnsureyourSIPorIAX2accountissetupcorrectly.Accountusernameandpassword
mustmatchtheaccountcredentialsonyourVoIPsystem.
Codec–EnsureyourcodecsettingsonyourVoIPsystemmatchtheIP5000codecsettings.
Firewall –FirewallscommonlyblockorpartiallyblockVoIPcalls.Checkwithyournetworkadminis-
tratorifyoucannotcommunicatewithyourIP5000frombehindarewall.
