Proportional Valve Control Overview
Switches: 1 Test / Normal
Buttons: 4 Tens, Ones, Learn, and Store
Normal Operation:
Display will change to show the function while in use. It will display what is currently happening as the lift moves
from floor to floor. It will blank when the lift is not moving.
Test Operation
:
Valve will operate as in normal operation in both function and display until it is put into the program mode. In the
program mode it will still work as before except the display will flash and the valve settings can be changed. The
display will not blank when car is not moving as in normal operation.
Program Mode:
To put in the program mode the unit must be moving and the test/normal switch must be in the test position.
Press the tens and ones buttons at the same time for 2 seconds while in motion. When the lift is at rest, a
function number will be displayed (Fx). Upon pressing (and holding) the learn button, the display will change to a
two digit number. This is the value for the particular function. To change the value, press and hold the learn
button and press the ones button to increment by 1 and the tens button to increment by 10 until the desired value
appears, then press the store button. Pressing the store button writes to memory the last value for the function
displayed.
The valve will stay in program mode for 4 mins. 15 secs. after which if more adjustments are required the tens
and ones buttons must be pressed again. Once adjustments are finished return Test / Normal switch to normal.
The functions displayed correspond to the following parameters:
Function:
Functions are as follows for the number indicated
F1 Represents up acceleration and up deceleration.
F2 Represents up leveling speed
F3 Represents up fast speed
F4 Represents down acceleration and down deceleration
F5 Represents down leveling speed
F6 Represents down fast speed.
To change functions press the ones button. The left digit will display “F” and the right digit will index up 1 every
time the button is pushed. When 6 is reached the number will recycle back to 1 and scroll up again until the
desired function is reached.
Value:
The two digit value displayed upon holding the learn button is the value for the corresponding function. By
pressing the ones button the 1’s digit will scroll up as the button is pushed. It will change 0 through 9. By pressing
the tens button the 10’s digit will scroll up as the button is pushed. It will change 0 through 9.
Each function has a program default of 50. The functions will be preset at the factory with values which
correspond to the particular pump and jack combination on a job by job basis. By increasing the size of the
number, the speed will be faster and the acceleration / deceleration will be steeper. By decreasing the value of
the number, the speed of the lift will be slower and the acceleration/deceleration will be more gradual.
