PLATFORM INSTALLATION
Install the cab platform 5 3/4" (146 mm) from the centerline of each guide rail and bolt the car
door sill(s) to the platform. (See Figure # 17).
Run the elevator the full travel of the shaft, while checking for proper clearances between the
elevator and the shaft equipment. Particularly, note the sill clearance at each landing, and
adjust the platform if necessary.
For Concord power sliding doors, the platform sill should be aligned evenly with the landing
with a clearance of 7 1/2” (at the tightest point), so that when the landing door is positioned,
the sill to sill clearance is 1 1/4”. For swing doors, the sill to sill clearance is typically 5/8”. Refer
to job specific drawings for your clearances.
