TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
ALWAYS DISCONNECT ALL ELECTRICAL POWER TO
THE ELEVATOR BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE
OR ATTACH ANY CONNECTIONS, PC BOARDS OR
FUSES.
NOTES:
1) Ensure all the green LEDs in the car controller are ON at all times.
2) Ensure that the yellow RDC LED located on the bottom board in the car controller
(OUTPUT board) is NOT ON.
3) With all the landing doors and car doors/gates CLOSED, the red DOORS CLOSED, and
the DCL LEDs on, the OUTPUT board should be ON.
CONDITION PROBABLE CAUSE(S)
Car controls are inoperable, but
landing controls work.
a) Defective key switch/key switch not turned ON in cab
b) Loose wire connections to push button board
c) Incorrect wire connections to push button board
d) Defective push button
Landing controls are inoperable
but car controls work
a) Key switch at landing turned OFF
b) NIT timer has not timed out on timer board
c) Loose wire connections to push button/junction board
d) Incorrect wire connections to push button/junction board
e) Defective push button
f) Cut or damaged traveling cable
Elevator does not operate in the
UP direction and pump does not
run.
a) Blown fuse in controller (See Fault Lights)
b) Circuit breaker tripped cutting power to disconnect
c) "SC" LED not lit/open in safety circuit
d) "DCL" LED not lit/doors not closed & locked
e) Car stop button pressed/stuck in (if equipped)
f) Final limit switch engaged (if equipped)
g) Normal limit UP switch activated or faulty loose wiring
h) Pit switch not turned ON (if equipped)
i) Traveling cable cut or broken
j) Faulty plank switch
l) UTT may be tripped on timer board
m) Yellow RDC light on
Elevator travels in UP direction
very slowly
a) Valve operator board not adjusted properly
b) Relief pressure not properly set
c) High speed not activated to proportional valve
d) Valve microprocessor faulty
e) Proportional valve faulty
Pump runs but elevator does not
move up
a) Gate valve closed
b) Low oil level
c) Valve operator board not adjusted properly
d) Relief valve set too low or faulty
