SETTING THE FLOOR INDICATOR DISPLAY
In order for the car digital display and the lift to operate in the UP direction, the 110 volt power
supply must be wired to the appropriate terminals in the pump unit control. See the “Electrical
Schematics” section (Appendix A).
When the power is turned ON, the display will either read “0” or remain blank. This indicates
that the controller does not know where the elevator is located within the hoistway. There are
two methods of setting the controller:
1) If the elevator is between floors, press a terminal floor button and allow the elevator to
move to a floor level where there is a vane or cam installed. Once the Opto-Reader
Board or switches “read” the vane or cam, the display will change to that floor number.
2) Occasionally, depending on the elevator location, a full trip from the top terminal landing
to the bottom terminal landing (or vice versa) is required in order to set the direction
latching relays.
