Figure # 52 Positioning of Pro-Door and Frame
5) Run the car platform to the top of the door frame and set the top distance keeping the
measurements of 1 1/4" from point “A” to line “B” and 3/4" from the platform edge to the
door frame. Do not twist or move the frame sideways at the top as the door will then bind
in the frame.
6) Secure the top of the frame
with the frame support
brackets, 3/8" x 3/4" long
bolts, washers, nuts and 1/4"
x 1 1/4" drive pins supplied.
7) After the frame is secured,
carefully open the door and
check the clearance between
the beak/latch bolts and the
door lock. The door must
latch easily.
8) Set the intermediate floor
doors and frames in the
same manner as above. At
the top floor, use a
carpenter's level or a plumb
bob since the elevator will not
go to the top of the top frame.
9) The frames can now be either bricked-in or framed-in and drywalled. It is recommended
that the installer be on-site when the contractor finishes around the door frames.
NOTE: Never allow a contractor to install your PRO-DOORS.
10) When the door frames are complete, install the fascias between the door frames. Note
that on through-cabs the fascias must be put on above and below rear door frames, or to
meet local code requirements. Install the fascias using pop rivets at the top and bottom of
the door frames. Use 1/4" drive pins to secure the fascias at the edge.
NOTE
Fascias must be custom measured at the site and are a different size for each job. Therefore,
they are not supplied by the factory and must be obtained locally.
PRO-LOCK INSTALLATION
(See Also Installation Video)
NOTE: The Series 8000 PRO-LOCK is not compatible with any previous versions.
The Concord PRO-LOCK is a true interlock (or elevator style lock). An electric contact will
interrupt the power to the control mechanism if the door is in the OPEN position or if the door is
not securely closed and locked. The interlock will prevent movement of the elevator when the
door is OPEN. The PRO-LOCK is also the rated Fire Latch for use with the PRO-DOOR.
