Before placing anything above a heat source, it is advisable to follow proper clearances
and manufacturer‟s instructions.
When a mantel is installed between the appliance and an electronic device or other materials, the effect
of direct heat on the electronics or other materials will be reduced. Follow mantel height and depth
instructions for proper clearances (see "minimum mantel clearances" section).
NOTE: Increasing the horizontal length of the mantel will further reduce the intensity of heat
on the electronics.
