What to do if Cornelius Ice Maker only dispenses syrup?
    • P
      Patrick MooreAug 20, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker isn't dispensing carbonated drinks and only dispenses syrup, first check the CO pressure regulator setting, a setting of 75 psig is recommended, and relieve pressure from the carbonator tank. Also, check the electrical connection to the water valve, its coil resistance (should be 9 ohms), and for voltage at the coil when the brand button is depressed.

Why are carbonated drinks flat from Cornelius Ice Maker?
    • A
      amber49Aug 22, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker is dispensing carbonated drinks that are flat, replace the CO. Also, the carbonator tank may be 100% filled because the city water pressure exceeds the carbonator tank CO pressure regulator setting. The CO setting for the carbonator tank is 75 psig, max water pressure is 60 psig. If necessary, install a water pressure regulating valve.

Why is the beverage too sweet from Cornelius Ice Maker?
    • M
      Melissa MorrisonAug 25, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker beverage is too sweet, you may need to adjust the valve brix. Other potential causes include a carbonator that is not operating, no CO in the carbonator, or low/inconsistent city water pressure supply. If the dynamic water pressure drops below 40 psig, a booster pump must be used.

What to do if the agitator does not turn in Cornelius Ice Maker?
    • A
      andrewgibsonAug 27, 2025
If the agitator in your Cornelius Ice Maker does not turn, first restore power or plug in the unit. Other potential causes include an improperly installed upper ice chute assembly, an inoperable reed switch, a defective electrical board driver circuit, a gear motor with an open circuit, or a broken wire in the 2-wire harness leading to the reed switch. Also, check to make sure tongue of upper chute engages into the back of the lower chute, ensure upper chute engages outside the lower chute, and snap front of chute into place. Finally, check for a bad connection at the main control board, J3, pins 2 &3 and repair the connection or replace 2-wire harness.

How to fix low water pressure in Cornelius Ice Maker?
    • E
      eileen19Aug 27, 2025
To resolve low water pressure in your Cornelius Ice Maker, increase the line size to 1/2” if you have excessively long runs (over 40 ft.) of 3/8” water supply line. You can also add a water pressure booster pump or change the water filter if it's plugged. If the water booster bladder has burst, replace the water booster tank/bladder.

What to do if Cornelius Ice Maker beverage does not dispense?
    • M
      michellemurrayAug 29, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker is not dispensing beverage, restore 24 VAC to the valves and restore CO pressure.

Why does Cornelius Ice Maker dispense ice continuously?
    • J
      Jeremy LewisAug 31, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker dispenses ice continuously, inspect the gasket for proper position and examine the gate plate to see if it slides freely behind the lower ice chute, because the ice gate mechanism may be stuck in the open position. Also, examine the ice dispense lever to see if it is bent, because the ice lever may be stuck or bent (does not allow gate to close and open reed switch).

What causes Cornelius Ice Maker carbonator tank to overfill?
    • C
      Christina BradfordSep 2, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker carbonator tank overfills, overflows through the relief valve, and the pump shuts off after 5 minutes, check the connections at the carbonator tank and at connector J4 on the main control board due to poor electrical connections between carbonator tank and main control board. Also, replace the wire harness if there are broken wires between the carbonator tank and the main control board. Finally, replace both liquid level probes if the liquid level probes are defective.

Why is no syrup or watered down drink dispensed from Cornelius Ice Maker?
    • P
      Patricia WilliamsSep 4, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker is not dispensing syrup or dispenses watered-down drinks, replace the BIB if the syrup supply is empty. If the BIB pump is not working, replace the BIB pump. Check the CO pressure regulator setting; 65 psig is recommended. If there is no CO or compressed air supply to the BIB pump, or not enough pressure, replace the CO tank or fix the compressor.

What to do if Cornelius Ice Maker carbonator pump does not start?
    • J
      Jason BartlettSep 6, 2025
If your Cornelius Ice Maker carbonator pump does not start to fill the tank, check that the umbilical cord is connected from the unit to the pump motor terminal box, because the power cord for the carbonator pump motor may not be connected. The carbonator pump is powered off the main control board inside the electrical box of the unit.
