VIEWING LOG-FILES
Viewing Log-Files :
¾ After Gauge Log-Files have been completed, they may be viewed in CygLink using the
View Log-File menu
¾ There is a dedicated Viewer for each of the Datalogger file-types
L If you want to turn the Gauge Log-File into an easy-to-read Report file you can do so
now, using the Create Report option from the File Viewer.
L Otherwise, if you want to create a Report using your own format, you must do so by
reading the Gauge Log-File into a word processor or spreadsheet program
To View a Log-File
Ö From the CygLink main menu select File → View Log-File, then select file-type to
be viewed
¾ The
File Viewer
for the chosen file-type will open
Ö In the
File Viewer
window : click Open to select a file to be viewed
¾ The
Open File
dialog will appear
Ö Navigate to the file you want to view, then click Open
¾ The contents of the file will now appear in the
File Viewer
window
¾ You now have the option of creating a Report file
