Installation
You can simply connect a computer directly to the DAP-1665 with an Ethernet cable and then begin the conguration process.
For Access Point Mode, you may use an Ethernet cable to connect the DAP-1665 to your wireless router. (Refer to “Access Point
Mode Installation” on page 18.) You can also use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) for both the Wireless Client Mode and Repeater
Mode if your router has WPS. (Refer to “Repeater or Wireless Client Mode Installation” on page 18.)
The next section describes the ve function modes, and should help you decide which wireless mode to use. Then you can
proceed with installation and conguration.
What Mode Should I Use?
The DAP-1665 gives you a choice of ve operation modes, allowing you to customize the device to your networking requirements.
