The PING (Packet Internet Groper) command can determine whether a specic IP address is accessible by sending a
packet to the specic address and waiting for a reply. It can also provide a very useful tool to conrm if the IP address
conicts with Network Camera over the network.
Follow the step-by-step procedure below to utilize the PING command but rst you must disconnect Network Camera
from the network.
Start a DOS window.
Type ping x.x.x.x, where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the Network Camera.
The replies, as illustrated below, will help diagnose any connection problems.
