create fdb
Purpose Used to create a static entry to the unicast MAC
address forwarding table (database)
Syntax create fdb <vlan_name 32> <macaddr> [port
<port>]
Description This command will make an entry into the
Switch’s unicast MAC address forwarding
database.
Parameters
<vlan_name 32> − The name of the VLAN on
which the MAC address resides.
<macaddr> − The MAC address that will be
added to the forwarding table.
<port> − The port number corresponding to the
MAC destination address. The Switch will
always forward traffic to the specified device
through this port.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this
command.
Example usage:
To create a unicast MAC FDB entry:
DES-3326S:4#create fdb default 00-00-00-00-01-02 port 2:5
Command: create fdb default 00-00-00-00-01-02 port 2:5
Success.
