config rip tx_mode
Used to configure RIP’s transmission mode.
config rip [ipif <ipif_name>|all]} tx_mode [disable]
authentication [enable|disable] <password>]
This command is used to configure RIP’s
transmission mode.
Parameters
<ipif_name> − The name of the IP interface.
all – To configure all RIP transmiting mode for all
IP interfaces.
v2_only − Specifies that only RIP v2 packets will
be transmitted.
authentication [enable|disable] − Enables or
disables authentication for RIP on the Switch.
disable − Prevents the transmission of RIP
packets.
v1_only − Specifies that only RIP v1 packets will
be transmitted.
v1_compatible − Specifies that both RIP v1 and v2
packets will be transmitted.
authentication [enable|disable] − Enables or
disables
<password> − Allows the specification of a case-
sensitive password.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this
command.
