Section 3 - Configuration
Time and Date
The DNS-313 Time and Date page contains several different options for setting the device’s internal clock. It is important
to set an accurate time so that backups and downloads can be accurately scheduled.
Select your time zone from the pull-down menu
and click the adjacent Set Time button.
Click the Set Time button in this section to
congure the DNS-313 to use the time congured
on your PC.
Network Time Protocol (NTP) synchronizes the
DNS-313 with an Internet time server.
NTP can be congured using a URL or one of
the two D-Link time servers. To use one of the
D-Link time servers for NTP, use the pull-down
menu to select the NTP server that is closest to
your location.
To use another NTP server, type the URL of the
NTP server.
When you have nished conguring the NTP
settings, click the adjacent Set Time button.
This option allows you to set the time and date
manually. Use the pull-down menus to select the
appropriate time and date and click the adjacent
Set Time button.
