ADJUSTING THE CLEARANCE
BETWEE N THE UPPE R AND
LOWER BLADES
1. L oosen th e three M1 6 nuts
holding the 38 gear and remove
them.
2. Adjust the clearance of the ro
-
tating feeding shaft.
Right rotation: To widen the
clearance
Left rotation: To narrow the
clearance
3. After adjustment, place the bolts
and nuts to their original loca-
tions.
When remo ving the M16
nuts, place a spanner on the
ear-side discharge blades of
the feeding shaft. Inserting
a tool between the 16 and
38 gears will damage the
shaft supporter.

CAUTION
1. Never touch the reaping
blade unit.
2. To attach or detach the unit,
wear protective gloves. At
least two persons should
work together to attach or
detach the unit.

DISASSEMBLE T H E B L A D E
UNIT
1. Remove all of the bolts from the
reaping blade unit supporters
(left, middle, and right) and ro-
tate the blade unit to raise up its
blades vertically.
2. Move the blade unit to the left
and remove it from the holding
pin.
