To present a virtual disk to all host ports on both controllers (in other words, the
promiscuous mode), select “ALL HOSTS” instead of individual hosts.
NOTE :
The promiscuous mode may not be used with persistent reservations.
The “ALL HOSTS” setting will cause SCSI2/3 Reservation commands to
fail.
3. Select the virtual disks for this presentation.
4. Optional: You may specify the mask options and enter the LUN number.
❖ Read Only: controls read-only access
❖ Home Only: presents the specified VD from the controller, port, and RP that is
currently pathed through and if the host connection is lost, access to that VD is also
lost
❖ LUN: LUN that the virtual disk will show to the host
❖ Channels: from which host port the host will see the virtual disk
5. If desired, enter an index number for the presentation.
6. Click Create Presentation. Success or error message displays.
7. Repeat the above steps to create more presentations as needed.
To view the new presentations, select Application > Show Presentations.
Your SFA12K system configuration is now complete.
Please refer to the following sections in the SFA OS User Guide for information on
performance tuning:

• SFX Cache Management (assign disks for SFX, SFX usage/extent on VD)
• Performance Management (cache settings, Read QoS, load balancing, background job
priority, rebuild policy settings)
