Typical values for the resistor is 2.5 kΩ, while the potentiometer is 5 kΩ.

You do not have to use a current output for voltage regulation. You can configure and connect an available voltage output
directly instead. However, if the controller loses power, the output is an open circuit with infinite resistance.
