5.6.3.3 System Identification (XR)
This command can be issued in order to obtain device information
<STX>XR<checksum><ETX> i.e. <STX>XRAA<ETX>
The device specific identification data is returned in the format
("⌡" and "⌠" are symbolizing that the two consecutive lines are actually one line)
<ACK><STX>XR:DEV<sp>SYSTEMTECHNIK,<model_number>,<model_type>, ⌡
⌠<firmware_revision><checksum><ETX>
E.g. for a DEV 1953 with firmware revision G.01:
<ACK><STX>XR:DEV<sp>SYSTEMTECHNIK,DEV1953,16*AB-Switch,G.018C<ETX>
Note:
<sp> denotes the "space" character.
5.6.3.4 Read Status of Signal Path (S or SA)
This is the command for the query of the switching status of the device
<STX>S<checksum><ETX> i.e. <STX>S53<ETX>
or
<STX>SA<checksum><ETX> i.e. <STX>SA94<ETX>
The device answer is a sequence of sixteen three digit numbers, each indicating to
which input port the corresponding output port is connected to
<ACK><STX>S:o
1
,o
2
,(…),o
16
<checksum><ETX>
e.g. with all modules switched to the primary input port "In A" (i.e. 001):
<ACK><STX>S:001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001, ⌡
⌠00131<ETX>
or
<ACK><STX>SA:o

,o
2
,(…),o
16
<checksum><ETX>
e.g. with the first (i.e. installed) five modules switched to the
secondary input port "In B" (i.e. 002):
<ACK><STX>SA:002,002,002,002,002,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001,001, ⌡
⌠00177<ETX>
with:
o
1
= the input port number of the switch module in the first slot, either
001: primary input port "In A" or
002: secondary input port "In B";
(…)
o
16
= the input port number of the switch module in the sixteenth slot, either
001: primary input port "In A" or
002: secondary input port "In B".
Note:
It cannot directly be identified via Sandar Prosan protocol whether a slot is
empty or populated with a passive module or with a distribution amplifier
module.
