ADVANCED MAINTENANCE 6.4 GRIP FRAME REMOVAL
REMOVING THE LUXE
®
GRIP GRAME IS NOT a part of regular maintenance. It should only need to be per-
formed for a detailed cleaning or if replacing the anti-chop VisionTM eyes or solenoid valve. For ease of
maintenance, this task can be performed without the use of tools. After unloading and degassing the Luxe
®
and removing its power core, lift the grip latch at the rear of the body [FIG. 1]
Slide the front grip frame latch to it’s rear, unlocked position [FIG. 2]
Slide the grip frame down and away from the body. [FIG. 3]
After re-assembly, the grip frame can be reinstalled with the reverse procedure. Ensure that both latches are
in their unlocked positions before sliding the grip frame up into the body. Make sure all electrical contacts
and the gas path are free of debris and correctly aligned. If the grip frame does not seat smoothly into place,
do not force it. Back it out and check for obstructions.
Once the grip frame is fully seated in place, close both the front and rear latches. Neither should require
excessive force. If they do, remove the grip frame and inspect the latch assemblies and their counterpart
locations in the body for debris.
