ADVANCED MAINTENANCE 6.5
VISION AND SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL
WITH THE RECEIVER AND GRIP FRAME APART (see MAINTENANCE 3.4), the solenoid valve manifold may be
removed from the Luxe
®
by taking out the mount screw at it’s front with a 1/16-inch allen wrench [FIG. 1]
Further disassembly of the solenoid valve from its manifold is achieved by removing two screws [FIG. 2]
Note- The Luxe
®
X solenoid is not user-servicable and should not be disassembled.
On reassembly, inspect exposed o-rings and replace if necessary. A very thin film of GR33SE
™
may be used
as an assembly lubricant to help the o-rings slide smoothly into their pockets and stay in place while the
parts are being handled. Take caution not to leave free gobs of lubricant in or around the o-rings and air
passages, as they can gum up the solenoid valve and prevent smooth operation.
The Vision
™
emitter and detector may be removed by first lifting out the detent assemblies (see MAINTENANCE 5.2)
then unscrewing the upper Vision
™
contact strip screw from the bottom of the body [FIG. 3] and lifting out
the Vision
™
flex circuit.
