ERRORMESSAGES
Followthepromptswhenanerrormessageappears.
MACHINEWILLNOTSTART
1. CheckthatthedisconnectswitchisintheON
position.
2. TheEmergencyStopbuttonneedstobereset
(rotatethebuttonheadclockwise).
3. Seeifthemainfusesand/orcircuitbreakershave
trippedorburnedout.
4. Makesurebothbandwheeldoorsareclosedand
theinterlockswitchesareengaged.
5. Checkthesplashscreeninfrontofthemachineto
beinpositionandtheinterlockswitchisengaged.
6. Pushthemotorstartoverloadresetbuttonsinthe
electricalcabinet.Ifoverloadtrippingoccurs,
locateandcorrecttheproblem.
7. Checkthecontroltransformerforpower.
8. Checkthehydraulicmotorandwiring.
9. Checkthestarter,relaycoilsandcontactsfor
faultyoperation.
10. Haveanelectricalservicepersoncheckthe
continuityofthestartingcircuit.
MACHINESTARTS,BUTWON’TCONTINUERUNNING
1. Thesawbandisbrokenortoolongandis
activatingthebandbreakproximityswitch.
2. Checkthesplashscreeninfrontofthemachineto
beinposition.
3. Checktoseeifthebandwheeldoorsareclosed
(thebanddrivemotorwillnotstartunlessboth
wheeldoorsareclosed).
4. Thesawheadhasnotclearedtheheaddownlimit
switch.Pushthesawheadupbuttonandstartthe
hydraulicpump.
5. Theout‐of‐stocksensorhasbeenactivated.
SAWBANDSTALLSDURINGACUT
1. Decreasesawheadfeedingpressure.
2. Checktoseeifdrivebelttensionisadequateto
resist“cogging”underload.
3. UseaTensigagetocheckforpropersawband
tension.
4. Checkforproperoperationofthebandtension
selector.
BLADETOOTHGULLETSARELOADING
1. Useacoarserpitchsawband.
2. Increasethebandspeedsetting,ordecreasethe
feedpressuresetting.
3. Checkforimpropercoolantapplication.
4. Checkthepositioningofthebandbrush.Replace
thewirebrushofnecessary.
SAWBANDSQUEAL
1. Thelead‐in/exitrollersare:notcontactingthesaw
band;(b)positionedtootightagainstthesaw
band.
2. Checkfordefectivelead‐in/exitrollerbearings.
SAWBANDVIBRATION
1. Checkforadullordamagedsawband.
2. Incorrectbandspeedorfeedpressuresettingis
used.
3. Checkforincorrectsawbandpitch
4. Coolantmixtureisweak,orincorrectcoolantis
beingused.
5. Stockpieceisnotbeingfirmlyclampedbythevise
jaws.
6. Checkforwornorimproperadjustedsawguide
inserts.
7. Checkforawornsawguideback‐upbearingor
carbide,orlead‐in/exitrollerbearing.
8. Checkforincorrectsawbandtension.
PREMATUREBLADETEETHDULLING
1. Bandspeedand/orfeedratetoohigh.
2. Checkforfaultystock:heavyscale,inclusions,hard
spots,etc.
3. Stockanalysisiswrong.Thiscanresultinincorrect
cuttingrecommendation.
4. Coolantisnotcoveringthesawbladeproperly.
5. Checkforsawbandvibration.
6. Checkforchipwelding,orachippedbladetooth
lodgedinthecut.
