Using the on-screen display
Gaming menu
Frame rate counter
Enables or disables a live display of the current input frame rate.
Frame rate counter color
Selects the color of the frame rate counter.
Crosshair
Enables or disables a targeting reticule overlay.
NOTE
While the OSD menu is active, the frame rate counter cannot be displayed. If enabled, it will
appear once the menu is closed.
By default, you can quickly toggle the frame rate counter on and off by pressing the
joystick left when the OSD menu is not active.
As the monitor received no direct frame rate information from the graphics card, the frame
rate displayed is based on the refresh rate. This means that it is only accurate when
adaptive-sync is active.
At low frame rates, the graphics card may use a technique called low framerate
compensation (LFC), duplicating frames to match the minimum refresh rate of Spectrum.
As Spectrum cannot differentiate between new frames and their duplicates the frame rate
counter will in this case show the total number of frames generated by the graphics card
(48). This may differ from the number of unique frames as displayed by some software-
based frame rate counters.
NOTE
While the OSD menu is active, the crosshair cannot be displayed. If enabled, it will appear
once the menu is closed.
By default, you can quickly toggle the crosshair on and off by pressing the joystick right
when the OSD menu is not active.
