Type and dura-
tion:
Automatic, approx. 8 min
Perform the test: Daily
Description: Scope of the pretest (initialization):
– Checking situations that frequently cause operational
restrictions:
– Insufficient O
2 gas supply
– No gas cylinders connected
– High leakage
– Condensed water in the breathing system, in the
piston diaphragm, and in the breathing circuit
– Insufficient power supply, including the internal
battery
– Mix-up of the connected breathing hoses
●●●
– Incorrectly set APL valve
– Missing valves in the breathing system
– Insufficient pressures of N
2O and Air
--- ●●
– Calibrating the inspiratory O
2 sensor ●●●
The initialization takes approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Remain by the device during
this time. Make corrections if necessary.
Scope of the fully automatic main test:
– Checking the functional integrity:
– Does the connected O
2 supply actually supply
oxygen?

1) Only for devices with integrated PGM. This test must be activated in the system setup (see "Vertical tab "System
test"", page 219).
