(3) Setting the double-feed detection method
There are two methods of double-feed detection: “Set” and “Sheet”.
Turn the jog dial to display “Check Mode” at the top, and press the jog dial to confirm the setting.
To set “Set”, turn the jog dial and display “Set” at the left edge, or to set “Sheet”, turn the jog dial and
display “Sheet” at the left edge, and press the jog dial to confirm the setting.

NOTE : If the end mark detection function is set to “Random” or the downstream processing unit is set to
“Through”, “Set” cannot be set.
“Set” method
With “Set”, all sheets in one set will be test fed, the characteristics of all these sheets and each sheet actually processed
will be compared to determine double-feeding. When this method is selected, double-feeding can be detected even if
different color paper is included in the set.
“Sheet” method
With “Sheet”, only the first sheet in each paper feeder will be test fed, and the characteristics of this sheet and all the
sheets actually processed will be compared to determine double-feeding. When using this method, use only the same
color paper. Also do not print anything in the double-feed detection area. (However this not apply when all sheets have
the same printing at the same area.)
