5.9 Notes on the warranty
We would advise that the contents of this device manual are not part of an earlier or
existing agreement, commitment or legal relationship, and do not seek to modify
these. The warranty for DURAG GROUP devices is usually 12 months from the date
of delivery. All obligations arise from the applicable purchase agreement, which also
includes the complete and solely applicable warranty regulation. These contractual
warranty provisions are neither restricted or expanded upon by the statements in this
document.
Conversions or modifications to the compact flame monitor are not permitted. Any in-
terventions in the device will invalidate the warranty.
As the burner controls and flame monitors both have type approvals, any interventions
will also void these approvals.
Fault-free and safe operation of the device depends on appropriate transport, correct
storage, installation and assembly, and careful operation.
A high level of reliability is expected for safety-relevant components such as flame
monitors. Careful maintenance is a key prerequisite for safe operation. This is the only
way of detecting and rectifying functional irregularities in good time.
Approx. 10 years after commissioning at the latest (≙ 250,000 cycles; see also
EN298) with typical usage and ambient conditions for the flame monitor, the tests and
maintenance measures prescribed for the product by the manufacturer must be
carried out by the manufacturer or its authorised representatives. These measures
may also bring about a replacement of the product.
