ETHERNET Interface
The ETHERNET function must be selected in the SETUP menu page 2 on the line
INTERFACE : ETHERNET
IMPORTANT
The test units of the XS series could be equipped with an ETHERNET interface. This option makes
possible the integration of any unit of the series in an automatic measurement or test system in
manufacturing or incoming inspection department.
This interface is accessible through a RJ45 connector provided on the rear panel.
It is essential to connect the safety loop when using this option with hipot test for example.
It’s easy to lunch a test from a place, from where it is not possible to check what the unit does.
Connexion examples
1)Simple connexion between un PC and a unit with a fixed IP address
In this case, you must use a Crossover Ethernet Cable.
To clearly identify the unit, You must select an IP address for the unit and the PC too.

PC :
- IP Address : 192.168.0.1
- subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
XS unit:
- IP Address : 192.168.0.2
- subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
