4-7 Replacingfuellineandfuelreturnline
{Removing}
1. Remove dust cover (Refer to “4-4 Inspecting
fuel tank and line”).
2. Disconnect fuel line (A) from black joint (B) and
(C). Inspect fuel line (A) and replace with new one
if defective.
3. To replace fuel line (in fuel tank) (D) and fuel
return line, remove fuel cap (E) and remove fuel
strainer (F) and clip (G) from fuel line (D).
4. Disconnect fuel line (A) from black joint (C) and
fuel return line (H) from white joint (J), respectively.
5. Remove grommet (K) from the unit together with
fuel line (D) , fuel return line (H) and tank vent (L).
Then remove fuel line (D), black joint (B) and fuel
return line (H) from grommet (K).
6. Inspect fuel line (D), joint (B), fuel return line (H)
and grommet (K). Replace with new one if defec-
tive.
7. To replace fuel line (M) and fuel return line (N),
disconnect fuel line (M) from black joint (C) and
fuel return line (N) from white joint (J).
8. Remove air cleaner cover, air lter, carburetor
elbow and carburetor.
9. Remove fuel line (M) from rear handle assembly
(P).Inspect fuel line (M). Replace with new one if
defective.
10. Disconnect fuel return line (N) from purge bulb
(Q). Inspect fuel return line (N). Replace with new
one if defective.
{Installing}
11. Insert fuel line (M) to rear handle assembly (P)
and connect fuel line (M) and black joint (C).
12. Connect fuel return line (N) and purge bulb (Q)
and white joint (J).
