AC134HD is a machine designed for use in recovery and recycling of the R134a
refrigerant used in ECS systems. AC134HD is designed to be used by qualified personnel only.
Moreover, correct use of the machine will depend on the operator’s knowledge of the
information contained in this manual.
• For maintenance, reparation or replacement of parts contact SNDC Ecoclim. Work on the unit carried
out by non-qualified personnel can alter the degree of security of the unit and put the operator at
great risk.
• Do not place anything on top of the service unit AC134.
• When connected to the ECS circuit, place the hoses so that they are not in the way or at risk to be
damaged.
• Stick to the standards of health and safety at work. Do not leave the service unit unattended, even
when it is carrying out an automated operation.
5.1. Work Environment
• Use of the AC134HD service unit is strictly reserved for trained technicians. Keep it out of reach of
children.
• Do not use the service unit near open flames or heat source: if R134a is exposed to open flames or
incandescent surfaces it may undergo thermal decomposition and form acid substances. The AC134
service unit must not be used in buildings where there is fire or explosion risks.
• Do not smoke in proximity to the machine while it is in operation.
• Use only in well-ventilated work areas.
• Avoid inhaling highly concentrated vapours even for short periods of time, since such vapours can
cause loss of consciousness or death.
• It is advised to use service unit AC134 in a well-lit area.
• Operate and store the AC134HD service unit in a dry place, protected from bad weather. Do not
operate and store the unit in a difficult environment.
5.2. Use
During operation, wear appropriate protective equipment including goggles and
gloves.
Pay attention to any refrigerant projections. In view of its very low boiling point:
- contact with the eyes can cause serious damage to sight,
- contact with the skin can cause burns.
In case of refrigerant eyes or skin contact, rinse thoroughly and call emergency services.
