6. Inspect the cuff sleeve, bladder, and hose to ensure that there is no damage.
Replacing the Air Bladder
After disinfection, the bladder needs to be inserted back into the cuff sleeve. Refer to section
11.2.2 for operation.
NOTE:
Prolonged use of disinfectant may cause discoloration of the cuff.
11.4 After Reprocessing
• After reprocessing, the monitor and cuff sleeve should be checked to ensure there are no
signs of aging, wear, cracks, deformation, discoloration or peeling, etc. Replacement should
be taken or contact the service personal of the manufacturer if necessary.
• Assembling and connecting device-specific components.
Prerequisite:
All components have been reprocessed and are dry.
• Preparation before next use of device
Assembling and fitting patient-specific accessories and consumables, i.e. cuff sleeve.
11.5 Care and Maintenance
CAUTION
1. Besides the maintenance requirements recommended in this manual, comply with
local regulations on maintenance and measurement.
2. Do not open the casing. Once the device is opened, all warranties will lapse.
3. The maintenance operations like software upgrade of the device can only be
completed by EDAN-qualified service personnel.
The monitor will automatically perform auto-zero adjustment when powered on. This is to
eliminate the impact of atmospheric pressure on blood pressure. It also supports periodic
auto-zero to eliminate the impact of temperature drift on ABP study.
11.5.1 Inspection
Perform regular visual inspection to see if there is any dirt or dust on the device, hose, and cuff
sleeve. Follow the instructions for cleaning. Visually inspect cables, materials, pneumatic hoses,
