5. Home Automation and PGM
Home Automation is an optional feature that requires an add‐on expansion module.
Home Automation enables you to control up to 16 individual lights and appliances
around the home (HA units), and PGM output. PGMis a programmableoutputthat is
triggeredaccordingtospecificsystemstatusconditions,orbyremotecommandsentvia
PSTN,GSM,Ethernet,keyfob,keypad,orRemoteProgrammer.
HA units and PGM programmable output can be controlled (using the keypad and
keyfobs,remotelybytelephoneorSMS)orprogrammedtoreacttospecificsystemstatus
conditions.Forexample, anHAunitcanbeprogrammedtoswitchon
whenthesystem
isarmedorwhenaspecificzoneistriggered.
How an HA unit reacts to the On command is determined by the installer in
programming.The HAunit canbeprogrammed toswitchonuntil theOffcommandis
received/the end of status condition that turned it on,
or automatically switch itself off
afterapre‐programmedamountoftime.
Scheduling options enable you to program On and Off times for each HA unit. This
feature is found in the main menu. For further information on how to navigate the
menu,refertoAdvancedSystemOperation.
Additionally, the
Randomize feature is designed to switch lights on and off at night
when the system is armed (This feature can be enabled by your installer). This gives
potentialintruderstheimpressionthatthehouseisoccupied.
5.1. Keypad Control
Two buttons on the keypad enable you to send On and Off commands to HA units,
activateanddeactivatePGMoutput.
