Besidesthebasicfunctionsdescribedinthepreviouschapters,youcanaccessadditional
functionsviathemenu.Thischapterdescribesthesefunctionsandthemenunavigation
procedure.
Menu Navigation
Using the LCD keypad on the front panel, you can navigate through the menus using
themenunavigation buttons(/)and makesimpleyes/nodecisionsusingtheand
buttons.
The availability of menu items depends on the user code that you used to enter Menu
mode. Some menu
items are limited to the master code only (User 1). Certain menu
items,suchassystemprogrammingfunctions,arenotintendedfortheuserandcanonly
beaccessedbytheinstaller.
The following example explains the procedure for Event Log viewing (master code
accessonly).
1. Pressto
enterMenumode.
2. Enterthemastercode;thefirstmenuiteminthemainmenu,
1.CancelReportisdisplayed.
3. Pressuntil6.EventLogisdisplayed.
4. PresstoentertheEventLogmenu;1.ViewLogisdisplayed.
5. Presstochoosethedisplayed
item.
Pressifyoudonotwanttochoosethedisplayeditem.Pressingalsotakesyouback
tothepreviousmenulevel.
Menumodeautomaticallyterminatestwominutesafterthelastkeystroke.
Throughout this chapter, we have tried to include all of the system functions using a
similarstructureandorderastheyappearinthemenu.
7.1. Cancel Report
The Cancel Report function enables you to prevent the system from reporting in the
eventofafalsealarm.
Tocancelreport:
Fromthemainmenu,selectCancelReport[1];allpendingmessagesto
themonitoringservicearecanceled.
7.2. Zone Bypassing/Unbypassing
Whena zone is bypassed,its sensoris ignoredby thesystem anddoes notgenerate an
alarmwhentriggered.
Tobypassorunbypassazone:
1. FromtheBypassZonesmenu,selectBypass/Unbyp.[21].
