VALUE SIMULATION
PULSE
Use this function to specify the number of pulses (e.g. 50) which are output during the
simulation. This value is used to test downstream devices and the flowmeter itself. The
pulses are output with the pulse width specified in the PULSE WIDTH function. The
on/off ratio is 1:1.
! Note!
This function is not available unless the COUNTDOWN option was selected in the SIM-
ULATION PULSE function.
Simulation is started once the specified value is confirmed with the F key. The display
remains at 0 if the specified pulses have been output.
User input:
0 to 10 000
Factory setting:
0
! Note!
• The simulation can be switched off again via the SIMULATION PULSE function.
• If exiting this function and the SIMULATION PULSE function is active (= ON), the
message END SIMULATION is displayed. Select YES to end simulation or NO to con-
tinue simulation.
" Caution!
The setting is not saved if the power supply fails.
ASSIGN STATUS Use this function to assign a switching function to the status output.
! Note!
This function is not available unless the STATUS setting was selected in the OPERATION
MODE function.
Options:
OFF
ON (operation)
FAULT MESSAGE
NOTICE MESSAGE
FAULT MESSAGE or NOTICE MESSAGE
LIMIT MASS FLOW
LIMIT CORRECTED VOLUME FLOW
LIMIT TEMPERATURE
LIMIT TOTALIZER 1
LIMIT TOTALIZER 2
Factory setting:
FAULT MESSAGE
! Note!
• The STATUS output is only available for the flexible I/O boards (see Technical Infor-
mation in the Operating Instructions).
• The behaviour of the status output is of the quiescent-current type, in other words the
output is closed (transistor conductive) when normal, error-free measuring is in
progress.
• Switching response is like the relay output (see Page 45, Page 46).
• If you select OFF, the only function shown in this function group is ASSIGN STATUS.
