Extend the paper support according to the size of
the paper to prevent the paper from slipping off
the printer.

Set the Cassette1 Size and Cassette1 Type
settings to match the loaded paper size and paper
type on the control panel. For details, see “Tray
Menu” on page 25.

Note:
To load envelopes, see “Envelopes” on page 41.

Open the MP tray.

Slide the paper guides to accommodate the paper
you are loading.

Press down on the center of the paper lifting plate
until the left and right locking tabs (white) lock
into place.
D
Load a stack of the desired paper with the
printable surface facing down.
Note:
Make sure that you do not load paper beyond the maximum
limit guide. See “Available Paper and Capacities” on
page 37.
E
Slide the paper guides to get a snug fit.
Note:
Make sure to adjust the paper guides according to the size of
paper you loaded to prevent paper feed failures, paper jams
or any other error.
