Important:
During printing or while the printer is running
the operations shown below, do not remove the
Waste Ink Bottle unless instructed to do so by the
on-screen instructions. Failure to observe this
precaution could cause ink to leak.

"Waste Ink Bottle is at the end of its service life." is
displayed
Replace the waste ink bottle indicated in the message
with a new one immediately.

Waste Ink Counter
The printer uses the waste ink counter to track waste
ink and displays the following message when the
counter reaches the warning level. Waste Ink Bottle is
at the end of its service life. If you replace the waste
ink bottle when this message is displayed, the counter
is cleared automatically.
If you need to replace the waste ink bottle before the
message is displayed, select Replace Waste Ink Bottle
from the setup menu.

Important:
If you replace the Waste Ink Bottle before being
prompted by a message, always clear the waste
ink counter. Otherwise, the replacement interval
for the Waste Ink Bottle will no longer be notified
correctly from the next message.
Replacing the Waste Ink Bottle
Follow the procedure below to replace the parts.
Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
following:

Check the labels for the waste ink bottle
indicated in the message, and then remove it
from the waste ink bottle holder.
