TROUBLE SHOOTING Trouble on Paper Feeding 86

Roll paper cannot be rewound.
Roll Unit Sensor is not working.
Check the connection of Roll Unit Sensor.
Perform Sensor Check of the service program to check
if Roll Unit Sensor operates normally.
Connect the sensor correctly.
If any abnormality is found, replace Roll Unit
Sensor. (See P.394)
In the following situations, the roll
paper cannot be rewound automatically,
so rewind the roll paper manually.
Previously printed paper is still
uncut and remains inside the printer.
Roll Sensor is not detecting paper.
Remaining roll paper is little and
slipping.

Paper cut is not done well.
Cutter blade is dull.
Check the cutter operation counter in NVRAM Viewer if
the counter has come near the specified life.
If so, replace the cutter with a new one.
Cutter belt tension is not appropriate.
Measure the cutter belt tension to check if the value is
within the standard. (See P.381)
If the value is out of standard, perform Cutter Belt
Tension Check. (See P.381)
Misadjustment of the cutter position
Check if Cut Position Check & Adjustment is done
properly.
Is the adjustment result within the standard?
If not, perform the adjustment. (See P.380)
