The following product−specific terms and abbreviations are
used in this manual:
Term/abbreviation
Meaning
Angled sub−base Reversing unit (90°) with work connections 2 and 4. The angled
sub−base is fitted on the connection side of the manifold block.
Basic components Component (pneumatic interface, pneumatic manifold block or
pneumatic supply plate) on which further components (exhaust plate,
exhaust cover, vertical supply plate, pressure regulator plate, throttle
plate, valve or cover plate) are fitted.
Components Common term for pneumatic interface, pneumatic manifold block or
pneumatic supply plate, end plate, angled sub−base, exhaust plate,
exhaust cover, vertical supply plate, pressure regulator plate, throttle
plate, valve or cover plate for a valve location.
Connecting the tubing Connecting the supply lines (tubing) to the valve terminal
Cover plate Cover for a non−assigned valve location on the manifold block
CPX modules Common term for the various modules which can be incorporated in a
CPX terminal
CPX terminal Modular electric terminal type 50
End plate Extreme right−hand plate of the VTSA valve terminal and extreme left−
hand plate of the CPX terminal with holes for fitting onto a wall
Exhaust cover Cover with common exhaust connection 3/5 on the pneumatic supply
plate.
Exhaust plate Cover with separate exhaust connections 3 and 5 on the pneumatic
supply plate.
I/O Input/output modules
M23 multipin node round
plug
Interface with electric M23 round plug and holes for fitting onto a wall.
Manifold block Plate with electrical linking and valve locations for holding 2 valves,
per valve location with work connections 2 and 4.
Manual override Manual override
MP connection Electric multipin connection
Multipin node cage clamp Interface with terminal strip and holes for fitting onto a wall.
