Selector end plate (type VABE−...RZ−...B1) for operating the valve
terminal with internal or external pilot air:
The type of pilot control and the type of exhaust of the pilot air or
breathable air is set on code cover (1).
The relevant setting of the code cover is shown in Tab.3/2.
Modifying the setting of the code cover:
1. Switch off the compressed air supply.
2. Loosen and remove the locking screw (2) of the code cover.
3. Lift the code cover up from the end plate so that the cover can be
turned.
4. Turn the code cover until the nose of the cover points to the relevant
number.
5. Place the code cover in this setting into the end plate.
6. Tighten the locking screw with 3.5 Nm ±20 % an.
Pilot control with external pilot air:
· Supply the external pilot air via connection 14 (3).
End plate with axial supply connections (type VABE−...R−...) for operat
ing the valve terminal with internal pilot air.
Please note:
The internally branched pilot air is supplied to the valves on this end
plate only via channel 14. If the valve terminal is operated exclus
ively with internal pilot air, it may only be fitted with valves which
pass on the pilot air from control side 14 to control side 12. This is
guaranteed with the Festo valves. Valves of other manufacturers
must also be supplied with external pilot air via connection 12.
· If the VTSA valve terminal is also fitted with reversible 2x3/2−way
valves (identifier T32N−A, T32F−A, T32W−A), the pilot air must also be
supplied via connection 12 (1). The pneumatic spring of these
valves is supplied via this connection.
