5.4 FEED DOG
FEED DOG MAINTENACE
The feed dog determines the stitch length and
pulls the bag material through the machine. If
the teeth of the feed dog become dull, the
stitches will become shorter. At the factory
the machine is set at 3.75 stitches per inch
(6,8mm per stitch). Replace the feed dog
when it becomes dull to the touch.

REPLACING THE FEED DOG
1. Unplug the machine.
2. Place the
machine in
position as seen
in the system
illustration on
page 10.
3. Lift the presser
foot up by turning
the lever lifter
down.

4. Remove the
throat plate.
(Illustration 25)
5. Remove the
looper cover.
6. Unscrew the screw
from the carrier block
to remove the feed
dog. (Illustration 26)
7. Place a new feed dog
on the carrier block
and place the socket
cap back, but do not
tighten.
5.4 Alimentador Dentado
MANTENIMIENTO DEL ALIMENTADOR
DENTADO
El alimentador dentado determina el largo
de la puntada y hala la bolsa a través de
la máquina. Si los dientes el alimentador
dentado pierden el filo, las puntadas se
volverán más cortas. En fábrica la
máquina se ajusta a 3.75 puntadas por
pulgada (6,8mm por puntada).
Reemplace el alimentador dentado
cuando éste pierda el filo al tacto
(Ilustración 27).
REEMPLAZANDO EL ALIMENTADOR
DENTADO
1. Desconecte la
máquina.
2. Coloque la máquina en
posición como se ve en la
ilustración del sistema de
la página 10.
3. Levante el pie
prensador volteando la
palanca levantadora
hacia abajo. (Ilustración
24)
4. Retire la placa garganta.

5. Retire la cubierta del
ojo guía.
6. Destornille el tornillo de
cabeza de encaje del bloque
transportador y retire el
alimentador dentado.

7. Coloque un nuevo
alimentador dentado en el
bloque transportador y coloque
la tuerca de encaje en posición
pero no la apriete.
