1. Technical data
Enclosed with the coupling delivery and the documentation is an orderspecific dimensioned drawing
showing all the technical data necessary for fitting (see Fitting data field in figure 1). The coupling can be
fitted with the aid of these instructions only in conjunction with the orderspecific drawing of the
coupling.
The technical data to the ARPEX couplings listed in these instructions are documented on the
orderspecific drawing of the coupling (see "Operating and Coupling Data" fields in figure 1) and in the
current product catalogue and are available on request or can be accessed at any time on the Internet (see
cover at back).
Because of customerspecific adaptations the standard design is frequently deviated from. The technical
data on the orderspecific drawing of the couplings should always be followed before the data in
the current product catalogue, therefore.

These data together with the contractual agreements on the coupling determine the limits of its proper use.

The coupling must be designed with an application factor appropriate to the application. In the event of
a change in operating conditions (output, speed, prime mover and driven machine) the design must
always be checked.
