ItisimportantthataneffectiveRFgroundisconnectedtothesystem.Asinglegroundpoint
shouldbeusedforallequipment.Theunitcanbegroundedbyconnectingtheshield(drain)
wireofthepowercabletothevessel'sRFgroundpoint.OnvesselswithoutanRFground
systemtheshield(drain)wireshouldbeconnecteddirectlytothenegativebatteryterminal.
Thedcpowersystemshouldbeeither:
Negativegrounded,withthenegativebatteryterminalconnectedtothevessel'sground.
Floating,withneitherbatteryterminalconnectedtothevessel'sground
