9.2Cleaningthecamera
Thecamerahousingandlenswillrequireoccasionalcleaning.Y oushouldcleanthelenswhen
imagequalitydegradationisnoticedorexcessivecontaminantbuildupisseen.Cleanthe
interfacebetweentheyokeandbaseoftentopreventaccumulationofdebrisorsaltdeposits.
Whencleaningthisproduct:
DoNOTwipethelenswindowwithadrycloth,orwithabrasivematerialssuchaspaper
orscrubbrushes,asthiscouldscratchthecoating.
DoNOTuseacidorammoniabasedproducts.
DoNOTpressurewash.
Particularcareshouldbetakenwhencleaningthelenswindow,thishasaprotective
anti-reectivecoatingwhichmaybedamagedbyimpropercleaning.
1.Switchoffthepowertotheunit.
2.Cleanthecamerabodywithaclean,softcottoncloth.Y oucanmoistentheclothand
useamilddetergentifrequired.
3.Cleanthecameralens.
Rinsethelenswithfreshwatertoremovealldirtparticlesandsaltdeposits,and
allowtodrynaturally.
Ifanyspotsorsmearsremain,verygentlywipethelenswindowwithacleanmicrobre
clothorsoftcottoncloth.
Ifnecessary,useisopropylalcohol(IPA)oramilddetergenttoremoveanyremaining
spotsormarks.
