ensurethattheintendedmountingsurfaceissuitableforbearingtheproductweight.Do
NOTmountunitsorcutholesinplaceswhichmaydamagethestructureofthevessel.
Compasssafedistance
T opreventpotentialinterferencewiththevessel'smagneticcompasses,ensureanadequate
distanceismaintainedfromtheproduct.
Whenchoosingasuitablelocationfortheproductyoushouldaimtomaintainthemaximum
possibledistancefromanycompasses.Typicallythisdistanceshouldbeatleast1m(3.3ft)
inalldirections.Howeverforsomesmallervesselsitmaynotbepossibletolocatethe
productthisfarawayfromacompass.Inthissituation,whenchoosingtheinstallation
locationforyourproduct,ensurethatthecompassisnotaffectedbytheproductwhen
itisinapoweredstate.
