4.6 TERMINAL CONNECTORS SAFE AREA APPLICATIONS TYPE XX / XF
Take careful notice of all safety and precautionary measures indicated in paragraph
4.5: Electrical Installation and review paragraph 4.5.3 and 4.5.4 before applying any
field or power supply wiring.
For Intrinsically Safe applications (Type XI): read chapter 5.
Following terminal connectors are available on the F115-P when supplied with Type XX:

4.6.1 TERMINAL 00-02: POWER SUPPLY
Risk of damage to equipment!
Be very careful when connecting the common ground terminal 00 to Protective Earth (PE).
Connecting the common ground to Protective Earth (PE) (especially when multiple power
supplies are connected) can cause ground loop currents that could damage the equipment.
See paragraph 4.5.2: Protective Earth (PE) connections for more information.
The power supply connected to these terminals is used to power the unit, backlight and sensor
supply. When power is applied, discharge of the internal battery (Type PB) is automatically
interrupted. Please read paragraph 4.5.4: Power supply wiring for wiring requirements and
paragraph 4.5.5: Sensor supply for configuring the sensor supply.
Intrinsically safe: see Annex 1
When external power supply type PX or type PD is combined with Intrinsic Safety type XI,
the power presented to terminal 1 is looped through to terminal 2 to allow easy installation.
Please read Chapter 5 and consult Annex 1 for safety parameters.
