Software Download
You can select whether or not to permit software downloading. This feature is for service
representative use. For more information, contact our Customer Support Center.
Document Feeder Tray Elevation
When a document is loaded in the document feeder, set to which timing to raise a document
feeder tray can be performed. Select either [When loading originals] or [When pressing
Start].
Note • This feature does not appear for some models.
Check Document Guides Position
Set whether or not to display the confirmation screen when you set the guide position of the
document feeder to 8.5" and start loading. Select from [No] or [Yes].
Gloss Level
Allows you to set whether or not to display [Gloss Level].
If you select [Enabled], the [Gloss Level] button is displayed in [Image Quality] under the
[Copy] screen.
When you use the following settings in the Image Quality mode of the print driver, also
select [Enabled].


PostScript: High Quality
Drum Cartridge Conservation Mode
Specifies the operation when [Auto Detect] is selected for [Output Color]. Select either [On]
or [Off].
If the machine is set to automatically switch the type of a document (color/monochrome),
select [On], If not, select [Off]. Selecting [Off] outputs in color.
Estimated Job Time
If the estimated time for print waiting jobs is set to be displayed, you can set the
information to be displayed.
 Cumulative time for all jobs
Displays the time left until the processing and pending jobs complete.
 Time required for single job
Displays the time left until the target job is printed.
Restrict Recipient Selection Method
Allows you to select whether or not to restrict a fax/Internet fax or an e-mail transmissions
to addresses not registered on the Address Book.
Selecting [Only From Address Book] disables address entry using the keyboard or numeric
keypad, and permits only transmission to addresses registered on the Address Book.
Note • You can also give users authority to deactivate [Restrict Recipient Selection Method]. For more
information, refer to "User Roles and Authorization Groups" (P.410).
