1.3 Setting Up the Server
The server setup will vary according to how the ETERNUS DX/AF storage systems and server are to be connec-
ted. There are two possible connection topologies: direct connection and switch connection.
Edit the server's configuration file to match the chosen topology. Configuration files may also differ depend-
ing on which Fibre Channel card drivers are to be used. Check the Fibre Channel card product ID in the follow-
ing table and follow the procedure detailed in the indicated section ("1.3.1 Oracle Driver for QLogic OEM Fi-
bre Channel Cards" (page 9) or "1.3.2 Oracle Driver for Emulex OEM Fibre Channel Cards" (page 13)).
