2.3 Scanning thin Documents
When you scan a batch of thin documents (which are out of specification with under 52g/m² of
thickness), document jams (Multi feed) and mis-pickings may occur. If such documents need to be
scanned, switch the lever to "Thin" side.
1. Confirm that the thin documents fulfill the requirements of "6.2 Document Quality" on
page 103.
2. Shift the position of the paper thickness switch to the "Thin" position (the factory
default is "Normal" position).
3. Scan the documents by refering "1.3 Scanning Documents" (page 10).
