4.2 Replacing the LED board
In this server, the chassis ID and the temperature sensor are located on the LED
board. Therefore, to replace the chassis ID or temperature sensor, you must
replace the LED board.
I In order to enable ServerView Operations Manager and ServerView
Installation Manager to identify the system, it is necessary to program the
chassis ID prom using the "ChassisIDProm Tool" after installing the new
LED board.

The LED board (control panel) is fastened to a metal frame together with the
front VGA connector.
Removing the defective LED board
Ê Open the server as described in the section "Opening/closing the server" on
page 23.
