12. GLOW PLUG <VEHICLES WITH ENGINE
PREHEATING SYSTEM>
If the vehicle has a preheating system, measure
the time required for the engine preheat indicator
lamp to go out to judge if the glow plugs are
functioning properly. If not, remove the glow plug
and clean off the carbon or other deposits.
13. TURBOCHARGER <VEHICLES WITH TUR-
BOCHARGER>
Remove the hose of compressor wheel side and
check the play of the rotor shaft and the rotating
condition of the turbine wheel.
Inspection intervals
Every 25,000 km (15,000 miles)
Coolant temperature Preheat indicator lamp ON time
60°C and higher OFF
17°C Approx. 1.5 sec
–15°C and lower Approx. 4 sec
Inspection intervals
Every 50,000 km (30,000 miles)
